Vision
The vision of the Department of English aims to equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of English Literature, fostering critical and historical awareness through a balanced curriculum that includes socio-cultural and linguistic theory, language studies, and profession-oriented training. The Department trains the learners with adequate knowledge to appreciate literature, culture, and human progress, and prepares them for employment and further research in various disciplines such as literature, language, and English Language Teaching. The Department of English offers advanced, career-oriented courses by providing subject based knowledge, and practical skills, as well as engrafting a vision of community growth and development and robust ethical values.
Mission
The mission of the Department is to make the learners ready for employment, it will also ensure that any learner who is trained through this course should have the skill to confidently engage in further research in varied disciplines. The Department of English works as a centre for academic excellence through teaching as well as enhancing literal sensibilities and critical thinking.
